Description: | Although a relatively young discipline, Software Engineering is a rapidly growing profession thanks to modern technology. As a Software Engineering student you learn to design, develop, implement, test and maintain software, as well as the principles governing hardware. Our graduates are always in demand and apply their knowledge in a broad range of sectors including healthcare, finance, telecommunications and social networking.
Our Faculty of Engineering offers a unique four-year Bachelor of Engineering degree in Software Engineering, accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB), with an optional co-operative education component. The design of our program courses also grants you a Software Engineering Technology Diploma at the end of second year, which will allow you to enter into the workforce as a Software Engineering Technologist if you don’t wish to pursue the final two years of the degree program. |

Applicants whose first language is not English will need to satisfy Lakehead University’s English language proficiency requirements. Applicants can complete one of the following recognized language tests with the required minimum scores: TOEFL PBT-550, CBT-213, or iBT-80; IELTS-6.5; MELAB-85; CAEL-60. |
