Description: | The Accounting major is offered as a specialization for the Bachelor of Business Administration program and will prepare students for a career in business with a specialization in accounting. The Accounting major provides a solid theoretical understanding of the complexities of all aspects of accounting and includes the study of other issues such as finance, behavioural management, statistics, economics, and introductory marketing.
Accounting graduates have excellent job prospects after graduation, and have found work as executives, tax and audit professionals, budget managers, controllers, property nmanagers, payroll clerks, and bookkeepers, as well as careers in general business management. |

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
– graduation from a B.C. secondary school, or equivalent, with a minimum “C” grade in either English 12 or English 12 First Peoples; – previous degree from a recognized university; – visiting student from a college or university (a “Letter of Permission” from the home institution is required); – transfer student from a college or university (at least 24 transferable university-level credits completed); – mature student—at least 21 years of age (or will turn 21 in the first semester of admission) and has a minimum “C” grade in either English 12 or English 12 First Peoples. Priority will be given to students with Mathematics 12. Students without Mathematics 12 must have a minimum grade of C+ in Principles of Mathematics 11 and must upgrade with MATH 151 during the first semester. |
