|Description:||All Registered Nurses who graduate in British Columbia are required to complete a four-year baccalaureate degree meeting national and provincial standards for nursing education. College of the Rockies is in partnership with the University of Victoria and three other colleges located in BC and the Northwest Territories to deliver the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. College of the Rockies in co-operation with local hospitals, health care agencies and community partners, offers the first five semesters and two consolidated practice experiences of the BSN programs.
While students are in the BSN program, they have the opportunity to join the Canadian Nursing Students’ Association (CNSA). CNSA is the national voice of Canadian nursing students. Their goal is to increase the legal, ethical, professional and educational aspects which are an integral part of nursing. CNSA is actively dedicated to the positive promotion of nurses and the nursing profession as a whole. CNSA operates under the Canadian Nurses’ Association. The College of the Rockies CNSA is a chapter of the Western Northern Regional CNSA.

BC Secondary school graduation or equivalent. Minimum 70% or higher in Chemistry 11 or CHEM 080 Minimum of 70% or higher in MATH 080, 082, 090 or Math 11, as of 2013 in Foundations or Pre-Calculus Math 11 or 12 Minimum of 70% or higher in Biology 12 or BIOL 090 Minimum of 70% or higher in English 12 or equivalent
|Additional Admission Requirements:||
Completion of immunizations and completion of the immunization form by a health care professional is required before final acceptance into the program. Satisfactory health is required by all applicants. CPR (Level C) is required prior to entry and must be kept valid during the entire program through recertification every 2 years (the cost of which is the responsibility of the student). A criminal record check is also required.
