Description: This program is designed to prepare an individual for ministry with children, youth, or adults in a variety of settings in and beside the local church.

In addition to, and complementing, the general objectives for BRE, a student will fulfil the following objectives: Experience the realities and envision the possibilities of located Christian ministry, including the unique physical, moral, practical and spiritual demands of such ministry. Analyze various cultural contexts for Christian ministry with particular emphasis on our diverse Canadian culture. Investigate the philosophies, principles, methods and age group characteristics involved in Christian formation. Construct a biblical philosophy of Christian ministry. Demonstrate the skills and attitudes to facilitate and evaluate the teaching / learning process Christian ministry of others. Demonstrate the leadership necessary to oversee a specific area of Christian ministry. Experience two or more specific areas of Christian ministry. Successfully complete an eight month supervised internship in the area of located Christian ministry.

Applicants should be men and women who are intent on learning more of God, His Son, and the Christian Scriptures, have made a profession of faith in Christ and desire to learn about service to Christ and people and possess a grade 12 diploma or its recognized equivalent. If English is not your first language, a 60% in Alberta English 30 is required. For further information, contact the Registrar. Applicants must also maintain a 2.00 GPA for the first two courses in order to continue in the program.
