Description: This three-year BA degree program combines intensive counselling training with a more complete understanding of the Bible and applied theology, along with a broader awareness of ministry within the local church. The counselling component gives you an in-depth study of models and theories of counselling practice integrated with biblical principles for effective applications, integrating both academics and practical training in each of the 16 courses (64 credits) offered. The remaining 64 credits cover a thorough background in Bible and theology, and expand your capacity for taking on teaching and leadership opportunities.

Admission Requirements

Additional Admission Requirements:

    Students applying to PLBC’s Professioanal Counselling programs must provide/complete the following in addition to the basic acceptance criteria: 1) Criminal Record Check; 2) Students recently graduated from High School will have to complete 2 years of undergraduate studies; 3) Complete a Counselling Career Aptitude Assessment Form; and 4) Submit two passport size photographs. Once accepted into the program DPC students must ensure that they complete the program per-requisite of an accredited college-level English course or do one of the following: a) Register and complete PLBC’s Distance Education (Correspondence) English course; or b) Challenge PLBC’s English course by successfully passing the exam. A successful applicant to PLBC must also be a born-again Christian, give evidence of a consistent Christian life, and be actively involved in a local church fellowship for at least the full year preceding application.
