Program Information

School: Providence University College
Faculty: Biblical Studies & Practical Theology
Degree: Bachelor
Field of Study: Theological and Ministerial Studies, Other
Description: The Church Ministries program aims to equip students with the necessary skills for effective church and para-church related ministries. Students are taught to gain insight from the historical roots and the contemporary characteristics of Christian education ministry within the church. We aim to train students to understand and relate sensitively to the needs of the congregation or local communities, a critical aspect of the field. Oral communication skills and support-level experiences are acquired by students to assist ministry leaders so that they have a familiarity with the field upon graduation.

Think intentionally about worship expressions and liturgical practices. This program thrives on its approach to worship as a pursuit and a vocation, but above all, a lifestyle. Discover how theology has shaped our worship practices in the past and how the past has shaped the present. Study the wide variety of worship expressions that exist in the Christian church and gain practical skills that enable you to design, lead, and coordinate worship events. Now offering worship studies courses in a module one-week format.
