Description: The BA Major in Classical, Near Eastern, and Religious Studies coordinates several study areas that were formerly offered as distinct majors. The flexible new program benefits from the Department’s faculty expertise in archaeology, history, languages, literatures, and religions of ancient Egypt, the Near East, Greece and Rome, including Judaism, Christianity, and early Islam. Interdisciplinary study is encouraged, and the program can be tailored to fit specific interests in preparation for future study and employment opportunities.
