|Field of Study:||History, General
|Description:||The Department offers undergraduate course work at two levels: introductory courses at the 100-200 level, open to first and second year students; and advanced courses at the 300-400 level, open to students in both third and fourth years. Students are strongly advised to complete introductory courses in a given area before undertaking advanced courses in the same area. However, in specific areas students may not be allowed to register in an introductory course if they have credit in or are concurrently registered in an advanced course in the same area. Such prohibitions are noted in individual course descriptions. Please note that enrollment in seminars is limited. All History courses require substantial written and reading assignments. Information about textbooks in all courses is available from the bookstore.|
