Description: The study of history at Mount Royal University provides you with a broad base of knowledge in Canadian, European and American history. It also develops an understanding of the methods of historical research and analysis and historical reasoning that distinguish history as a branch of knowledge in the humanities and social sciences.

Mount Royal history students have exciting opportunities for hands-on experience, including: innovative assignments that take you out of the classroom, field courses that incorporate travel, involvement with faculty research, and volunteer work with organizations such as Heritage Park.

  •  Grade12 English 
  •  Grade12 Pure Mathematics  or  Grade12 Applied Mathematics 

Applicants are required to have English Language Arts 30-1 – minimum grade 60%, and Mathematics 30-1 or 30-2 or a second language at the 30 level – minimum grade 50%.

Test Scores:

  • Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 70] or Michigan English Language Assessment Battery [min. 85] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 83]

All applicants must demonstrate English Language Proficiency if their primary or first language (meaning the main language learned and used as a child) is not English.
