|Field of Study:||History, General
|Description:||History helps us make sense of the world we live in and offers a foundation for many careers, such as law, public service, pastoral ministry, teaching, heritage preservation, and library and information sciences. The issues that make headlines today–such as warfare in the Middle East, disputes over religious freedom, the rise of China as a global economic power, international terrorism, and the individualism of Western culture–all have a long history. Come and see how the world of the past illuminates the world of today and discover how all of history fits into the grand narrative of the Bible. From ancient civilizations through to the twenty-first century, you’ll gain profound insight into humanity in all its creativity and brokenness, cruelty and heroism, despair and hope. At the same time, you’ll learn how to write, speak, and think critically and persuasively – skills relevant to a wide variety of future callings.|
