Description: In this interdisciplinary program, you will learn to pose questions central to understanding the human condition. The study of humanities covers a broad range of ideas and subjects, from the classical era to the modern day, and from Ancient Greece to Modern Germany. This program prepares you for life in a multicultural society, encouraging critical and innovative thinking.

The Humanities program in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences is offered as a major, a minor, and a joint major with English; French; History; Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies; or Philosophy. The program also offers languages through the Language Training Institute, and certificates in religious studies and in medieval and Renaissance studies.
