Field of Study: | Philosophy |
Description: | Philosophers ask, “Why do you think that?” By investigating our basic assumptions, philosophers evaluate whether these beliefs are true, and see the reasons we believe what we believe. You improve skills in critical thinking, clarity of expression and logical analysis. This program is for students who are capable of self-direction who wish to pursue advanced work in philosophy with the benefit of individual attention.
The Philosophy program in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences offers a major, a minor, and a certificate in ethics. You can start this program at the Surrey campus. |
