Description: World Islamic and Middle East Studies is an interdisciplinary program focusing on Muslim cultures and societies both past and present. Recognizing the variety of approaches within Islam, its global reach, but also its regional specificities, and that of the Middle East in particular, the program aims at providing students with training in the textual traditions and social life of Muslims across different times and places.

Required: Mathematics – NYA, NYB, (00UN, 00UP) (Applicants with Social Science Mathematics – 103, 203 will be considered on a case-by-case basis.) Minimum of four science courses from the following: Biology – NYA, General Biology II (00UK, 00XU), Chemistry – NYA, NYB (00UL, 00UM) and Physics – NYA, NYB, NYC (00UR, 00US, 00UT).
