Description: World Literature focuses on the way writing travels beyond its context of origin and gain new meanings in other languages, nations and traditions. Students learn about cross-cultural understanding and the influence among authors across time, culture and linguistic boundaries. SFU is only one of seven other universities in the world that offer World Literature.

World Literature is a major program in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences; they also offer a joint major with International Studies. You are encouraged to participate in an international exchange and/or field schools to complement your degree. World Literature is also available as a minor. You can add a minor to any degree. You can start this program at the Surrey campus.
