|Description:||Creative writing offers an exciting and diverse range of courses, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and prose. You will work closely with active and talented writers to help you develop your voice and your craft in a small, intimate workshop setting. Through various creative research and experimental writing projects, you will learn how to write clearly, persuasively, and creatively all while discovering the power of language.

This program does not allow admission directly from high school. Preprofessional Study Time: 1 year. Minimum of 24 units of transferable course weight required. Consult the U of A Calendar for fields of study and appropriate first-year course selection. For consideration, you need a minimum Admission Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 with an average of 3.3 or better in your Honors subject courses; Competitive AGPA varies by field of study from 3.0-3.3.
