|Description||Our Master of Divinity (MDiv) program provides both the theoretical and practical tools necessary for you to prepare for the rewarding and challenging profession of Christian service. In preparation for parish, institutional and administrative ministries, you’ll take courses in theology, biblical studies, counselling, ethics, church history, liturgics and administration. There are two options available in our Master of Divinity program: the contextual option is for those preparing for congregational ministry (the program includes congregational placements, community placements and a full-year internship); and the coursework option is for those who are already engaged in full-time ministry, and allows additional options for electives in your area of interest. Students taking the contextual components of our program are required to be satisfactorily involved in the life of a congregation. In addition to 30 courses, you’ll complete one unit of Supervised Pastoral Education (SPE) and a 9-12 month internship. Our 12-week SPE course is taken during the summer after your first or second academic year.|
