|Description:||Do you love math and reading? With this program, you don’t have to choose! A Bachelor of Arts in Math is similar to a Bachelor of Science in Math, except that it incorporates more of a liberal arts focus into your core requirements. This approach of combining scientific principles with liberal-arts concepts is also found in fields such as linguistics, psychology, and anthropology, and produces well-rounded and versatile graduates.

This program does not allow admission directly from high school. Preprofessional Study Time: 1 year. Minimum of 24 units of transferable course weight required. Consult the U of A Calendar for fields of study and appropriate first-year course selection. For consideration, you need a minimum Admission Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 with an average of 3.3 or better in your Honors subject courses; Competitive AGPA varies by field of study from 3.0-3.3.
