Description: Statistics is the art and science of applying mathematical ideas to obtain useful information in the face of uncertain data. As a statistician, you will plan data collection methods, monitor the processing of data and advise on the interpretation and limitations of results. You will have many career possibilities in a wide variety of organizations. Our Statistics program is designed to provide you with the basic tools you will need for statistical analysis. The Honours program prepares you for a career as a professional statistician, for work in actuarial science or for further advanced studies. Our co-op programs, open to all Honours students, can provide you with practical work experience, networking opportunities, financial support and direct contact with potential employers.
