|Field of Study:||Criminal Justice/Police Science
|Description:||Law and order is only the beginning of criminal justice. This dynamic field deals with everything from understanding criminal law, to appreciating the roles of different stakeholders (such as victims, offenders and communities), to recognizing the complexities of providing ‘justice’ within, and outside of, the criminal justice system. Working in areas such as policing, courts, prisons, nongovernmental support agencies and social services, Ryerson graduates enjoy the rewards of helping to cultivate a just and fair society. In our socially diverse and rapidly changing society, criminal justice practitioners are equipped with the knowledge, skills and passion to uphold social values while responding to the fundamental justice issues of our time.|
