|Description:||TWU’s biology department prepares students to work and lead in fields such as biotechnology, health sciences, and environmental science. The biology program combines both theoretical and practical learning. In lectures, students gain knowledge from highly skilled professors who are involved in their areas of research. In addition, students are presented with many work and practicum opportunities through TWU.

English 12 and Precalculus 11 or 12 plus two additional Grade 12 academic subjects at a minimum overall average of 67%. A minimum grade of 60% or better is expected on the provincial examination portion of English 12. If you are considering majoring in any of the programs in the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, we strongly encourage you to take Grade 12 level Biology, Chemistry, Math (Pre-Calculus 12 for BC students), and Physics (or equivalents) in order to be fully prepared for university studies in the sciences.
