|Description:||As Aristotle points out, the ‘science’ of politics is the master science on which all other aspects of civilization depend. Political scientists examine how humans organize their societies and make collective decisions. Students taking political science will be able to understand and evaluate complex political issues in the contemporary world, develop independent analytical ability, and learn the basic concepts for making intelligent political analysis.
Sub-fields of political science include: International relations, Comparative politics, Canadian government, Political philosophy, Local government, and Public administration.

Applicants must have a minimum overall average of 65 percent, with no course grade lower than 50 percent, in the following high school courses: ELA 30-1, and four subjects from Group A, B, C or D courses.
