Description: The Book and Media Studies program is an interdisciplinary and historical investigation of the role of printing, books and reading in cultures past and present. It covers topics such as manuscript and book production, internet publishing, book illustrations, advertising, censorship, and the ways readers use and enjoy books.

Book and Media Studies may be taken as a minor or a major program. Book and Media Studies is an undergraduate program only. Students in the Faculty of Arts and Science of the University of Toronto may enrol in the program at the end of their first year. All students in the Faculty of Arts and Science are welcome in the program and its individual courses.
