|Description:||The Law in Society program explores the intimate relationship between law and contemporary societies. The program allows students to study this relationship from an interdisciplinary perspective that may include the philosophic, historic, political, economic, and sociological foundations of law. The Law in Society program is a superb preparation for graduate study in the humanities and social sciences, as well as for professional studies including law, public administration, policing, social work, and business.
Graduates may find career opportunities as legislative assistant, social development manager, policy advisor, social worker (requires further education), lawyer, and researcher in advocacy or non-governmental organizations.
