|Description:||Sociology studies the interaction of people, covering the smallest of group relationships as well as the large-scale interplay of institutions or regions within a nation and beyond. The focus is on modern industrial society. For example, topics include the study of cooperation and conflict, power and poverty, religion and revolution, migration and marriage.
There are various degree types and variations in length of study in Sociology. The BA and BACS degrees, for example, can be taken in a 3-year general program or a 4-year honours program. Three- and four-year options are available.
