Which is better: Canada or the US?
There are many points of comparison, like the GDP, quality of universities, quality of life, and economic suitability. For the purposes of this article, we will narrow these points down to those who are most relevant to us: Economic suitability and quality of life.
When it comes to which country is cheaper, the USA if infamous for its expensive healthcare costs, it ranks no.1 all over the world for its healthcare costs. Canada ranks at no. 6 which translates into a $7000 difference in healthcare costs. With an average salary that is roughly the same, and with availability of services and better vacations systems in Canada, then Canada is the more economic option.
When it comes to the quality of life, things get a bit trickier due to the diverse criteria by which people assess said quality of life. Transportation and traffic digestion is a lot easier and a lot less stressful in Canada than it is in the US. The US is historically known for its stress-laden environment due to a lot of reasons, not the least of which is the fact that it is the center of attention for most countries in the world. Canada takes all the benefits of being in an advanced, immigrants-friendly country, without all the usual cons that come with it.
